Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Netti is a UK take-home pay calculator app for iPhone, built by SquaredMc LTD. SquaredMc LTD is the controller of the personal data described in this policy, under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

This policy explains what information Netti collects when you use the app or this website, how it's used, and your rights. If you have questions, contact us at hello@squaredmc.com.

2. Information you enter into the calculator

Your salary, tax code, region, pension, student loan plan and any extra income (a bonus, overtime, commission or a single payment) are used to run the calculation on your iPhone. They're saved in the app's own storage on your iPhone so your inputs are remembered between sessions, and they're never sent to us or anyone else — we don't see or have access to the figures you enter. This has been verified directly against the app's tax calculation code, which makes no network calls and stores calculator inputs only in on-device local storage.

Like other app data, these figures are included in your iPhone's backups, to iCloud or to a computer, if you make them. Deleting the app removes them from your iPhone, but not from backups made before you deleted it.

3. Purchase information

Netti Pro is a one-off in-app purchase. Apple processes the payment through the App Store — we never see or store your card or payment details.

We use RevenueCat, an in-app purchase platform, to check your purchase, restore it if you reinstall Netti or move to a new iPhone, and tell the app whether you have Netti Pro. To do this, RevenueCat receives:

• your purchase history: the product you bought and its App Store receipt;
• an anonymous ID that RevenueCat creates for the app — Netti has no accounts, so this ID isn't tied to your name or email address;
• your iPhone's locale and the currency code of your purchase.

RevenueCat doesn't receive your location, diagnostics, payment details or any of the figures you enter. It gives us anonymous purchase statistics, such as how many people have bought Netti Pro. We don't use any of this to track you.

4. Usage and analytics data

Netti doesn't collect usage analytics. If we introduce anonymised usage analytics in future — for example, to understand which features are used or when the upgrade screen is shown — we'll name the provider here and update this policy before that data collection begins. This will never include the salary or income figures you enter.

5. Crash reports and ratings

Crash reports reach us only through Apple, and only from people who have chosen to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings (Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements). Apple collects them in a form that doesn't identify you, and we use them only to find and fix bugs.

If Netti asks you to rate it, it uses Apple's standard App Store rating prompt. Apple handles your rating, and we can't see who rated the app.

6. What we don't collect

Netti has no accounts and doesn't offer any account-linking feature. It has no ads and doesn't track you: it contains no advertising SDKs, doesn't use your iPhone's advertising identifier, and never asks for permission to track you. We don't access your contacts, photos, location, or any other device data beyond what's listed above.

7. This website

This website (netti-app.com) doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking, and doesn't load any third-party scripts or web fonts. It's hosted by GitHub Pages. Like most web hosts, GitHub may log visitors' IP addresses for security purposes, as described in GitHub's privacy statement. We don't receive those logs.

8. Third parties we work with

• Apple — App Store distribution, in-app purchase payments (StoreKit), crash reports and ratings.
• RevenueCat — our in-app purchase platform. It processes the purchase information in section 3 on our behalf.
• GitHub — hosts this website.

We don't sell your data, and we don't share the figures you calculate with any third party.

RevenueCat is a US company and stores data in the United States. Our data processing agreement with RevenueCat protects data sent from the UK with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Your rights

Because what you enter into Netti stays on your iPhone, deleting the app removes that data (see section 2 about backups). For the purchase information RevenueCat holds on our behalf, you can ask us for a copy or ask us to delete it by contacting hello@squaredmc.com. We'll action your request, or pass it to RevenueCat, in line with UK GDPR.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

10. Children's privacy

Netti isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

11. Changes to this policy

If what we collect or how we use it changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
